Which Unicode symbol would you recommend for a general nonbinary title?

I sometimes use ♀︎ and ♂︎ for Ms and Mr. What should i use for nonbinary instead? In handwriting i use the one shown in File:Nonbinary gender symbol.gif, but there seems to be no Unicode for that. There is U+2604 ☄, but that's too different from the symbol i use in handwriting. And also it makes no sense to me that binary people should get planets, while nonbinary only a measly comet.

One possibility might be ⍟, alluding to the use of an asterisk as a placeholder symbol and to the two symbols by Aster. But that's probably not used for that purpose, is it?

There are also some nice other ones, such as U+2205 ∅, U+26AA ⚪, U+1F728 ⴲ, U+263F ☿, U+26B2 ⚲, U+26A8 ⚨ or U+26A5 ⚥, but they seem to be used for specific meanings while I'm looking for an umbrella representation.

BTW, i tried to create an account, but the captcha keeps telling me that i don't seem human. 😥 109.250.119.183 08:36, 10 October 2024 (UTC)

there's always U+1F72C 🜬, which i've used, but there's nothing Official™

if you want, reach out to us at one of the ways in Nonbinary Wiki:Contact (email or discord would be fastest) and we can create an account for you.

Thanks, also to user:Ondo, who created the account.

Yes, U+1F72C 🜬 is very nice. Unfortunately, it's not implemented by most fonts. It is in Symbola; are there any other fonts that support it?

I don't see it in the article. Should i add it? Maybe with some note about the font?

So, i'm still experiencing problems. I just edited the entry for the caduceus symbol (To the text I introduced the term ‘caduceus’ in the first sentence, with a link to Wikipedia, replaced the later mention with ‘it’ and added ‘U+2624 ☤’ in the right column, with an edit summary of ‘caduceus: description and Unicode’.) But it keeps telling me ‘Something went wrong - The server did not respond within the expected time.’ You might think this has to do with the fact that i introduced an external link, but i had the same problem before when i entered the sun symbol. The only difference is that it then, after 4 captcha entries, finally gave in.

But certainly someone else can do this better than i can. Let me ask that ey then also add what identity the caduceus symbolizes, which isn't clear from the current text.

Actually, it seems to have done the right thing, after all. Strange!
