* According to Wikipedia, the term "Hijra" is considered derogatory in Pakistan, and the identity is often referred to as "Khawaja Sira" (with minor spelling variations) instead, so this alternate name should also be mentioned in the article. | |||
* Both [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rights_of_Transgender_Persons_Bill,_2014 India] and [http://www.senate.gov.pk/uploads/documents/1503334623_218.pdf Pakistan] enacted anti-discrimination legislation for transgender people. Both explicitly mention this identity as an example of who the legislation applies to. This may be relevant to the "Legal Recognition" section. | |||
