Olave Basabose is a Black nonbinary trans femme born in Burundi and living in the Netherlands. She is a published author, organiser, performer and speaker locally and internationally. She is also the initiator of Olave Talks, a video series (aka vodcast) platform that creates space for fellow activists to share their knowledge, test ideas, and discuss issues relating to the communities they serve.[3] She ran for Dutch legislature with the "Article 1" party in 2017.[4]
