    JD Samson is a musician with the bands Le Tigre and MEN. They identifiy as genderqueer[1], lesbian, nonbinary, gender non-conforming[2], and a gender outlaw.[3]

    They said of their involvement with Le Tigre: "I was this genderqueer performer and artist that kind of helped push along a new … revolution in identity".[3]

    Samson cites Leslie Feinberg and the book Stone Butch Blues as inspirations.[4]
