Shige Sakurai

Shige Sakurai (previously Nic Sakurai[2]) is an educator and activist. They have been out as nonbinary since the early 2000s, and were the first person in the USA to receive a driver's license with X sex marker.[3] They are the creator of International Pronouns Day and the website MyPronouns.org. Currently they work as an adjunct instructor at American University in Washington, DC.[4]
