Chanda Prescod-Weinstein

Chanda Prescod-Weinstein is a cosmologist, science writer and equality activist based at the University of New Hampshire. She is of Barbadian descent on her mother's side and Russian-Jewish and Ukrainian-Jewish descent on her father's side. In 2010, she became the 63rd black American woman to earn a PhD in physics. She has a book The Disordered Cosmos to be published in spring of 2021. She often writes blog posts on intersectional social justice topics, and was a founding member of the American Astronomical Society's Committee for Sexual Orientation and Gender Minorities in Astronomy.
