People who identify as lesbians are only attracted to women. This word is applicable regardless of whether one or both people involved are cisgender women or transgender women. Some nonbinary people also identify as women to some degree (nonbinary women), and also usually experience attraction to women, and so they consider themselves lesbians. Some people see "lesbian" as a gender identity as well as a sexuality.
