Most of the time, these physical alterations are via Hormone Replacement Therapy, physical training and/or surgeries. Varioformic may be used by anybody regardless of gender identity or sex; though most varioformic folk are transgender, cisgender people who intend to pursue transitional treatments may also use the term while still identifying with the gender they were assigned.
