Sex refers to physical characteristics developed in the womb. Often used in reference to genitals and secondary sexual characteristics. Binary sexes are Male or Female. Sex is not to be confused with gender identity. Female does not mean feminine. Male does not mean masculine.

Sex may be altered through hormones and or surgery.
