Turner Doolittle was a candidate for the Democratic primary for North Carolina House of Representatives District 93. Garnering only 1,346 votes (11.9%), they lost to Ray Russell on March 3, 2020.[2] If elected, Doolittle would have been the youngest representative in the history of North Carolina, as well as the first out nonbinary representative.
Their campaign issues included marijuana legalization and decriminalization, clean energy initiatives, punishing drunk drivers more severely, and ending homelessness.[1]
