Man, or boy, is the gender identity of being a man. Man is one of two widely recognized binary genders, with the other being woman. Men typically use he/him/his pronouns. Being a man does not imply being cisgender—trans men are men who are not cisgender. Furthermore, some identities, such as demiguy, may choose to identify as men.

Some nonbinary people use he/him/his pronouns but consider being called men to be a form of misgendering. As such, it is inaccurate to say that everyone who uses he/him/his pronouns is a man.
