Genderqueer flag
The genderqueer flag is the flag that represents those who identify as genderqueer. While there are different variations, it involves three horizontal stripes of light purple, white, and dark green. The purple stripe is always on top, but some flags have the white stripe under the purple while other flags have the green stripe under the purple. The former is far more common than the latter and is now considered the official genderqueer flag, as it is the most recent version.
Each color has its own meaning. The lavender is a mixture of blue and pink, colors that tend to be associated with men and women respectively. The mix represents androgynes and the word queer, which is often associated with purple. The white stripe represents the agender identity, just like the white stripe on the transgender flag. Finally, the green represents the opposite of lavender and is for people who identify outside the the binary[1].
