AFAB

AFAB stands for Assigned Female At Birth. This refers to people who were raised female in their culture. Many AFAB people have female genitalia, though they may have been born with ambiguous genitalia (which may or may not have been surgically altered to more closely resemble a vagina and vulva).

Synonyms for AFAB include FAAB (Female Assigned At Birth) and DFAB (Designated Female At Birth).
