Gender designation in different cultures: Difference between revisions

Some cultures recognize genders beyond the [[Nonbinary identities worldwide|binary]]. Other cultures recognize only two genders and thus a gender binary, but do not equate gender at all with sex and recognize that gender can be fluid in life.  These cultures do not necessarily have nonbinary genders, but they define gender differently than in Western cultures.
