Front page is confusing!
Hello. :) I'm thinking the front page is not very introductory - it doesn't suck you into a wiki rabbit hole like every wiki should! It needs more links to other pages and sections. I think perhaps a link to Special:WantedPages and maybe Category:Nonbinary identities might be a good start? --Cassolotl (talk) 01:36, 20 March 2017 (UTC)

- Cassolotl: I started making a nicer design for the main page here, using the color scheme of the non-binary flag. I have incorporated your changes there, tell me what do you think! There's just one thing I don't like: new users or casual visitors don't need a list of templates. Keeping sexist language out
I know it can help new binary allies to say "both", but it contradicts the rest of the sentence by suggesting that there are only two genders. I think this could be viewed as sexist, even if the writer had good intentions.
- @Otvm: thanks for pointing out! I have rewritten the sentence, tell me what do you think about it now (I have also removed the contradiction of "their gender can be neither"). Featured Article

Gender variance in spirituality is a topic that many religions address, whether their view about it is positive, negative, or open to interpretation. This article should collect information about how religions and spiritual paths view gender variance, particularly nonbinary and other transgender people, as well as intersex people. (It can be open to interpretation whether a person described in old religious writings as having both female and male qualities would be intersex, transgender, or nonbinary. It can also be open to interpretation whether a mythological figure described as a woman in men's clothing is a transgender man or a gender nonconforming woman.) It should collect information about gender variant deities and mythological beings, as well as religions' policies about actual gender variant people. Ideally, it should have a practical focus on what nonbinary people need to know in order to safely interact with religion and spirituality.
- @Otvm: that's right. Normally, the introductory paragraph already contains the title of the article (i.e. Binding refers to a variety of methods that...). Maybe the article name could be added in the section title? Like the example below. The yellow link at the bottom already takes to the page, so no need to have it linked in the title. The only problem is title automation. Would we create separate pages under the featured article pages which contain only the title, or would we change it each month by editing it? Is there any other alternative?

"Promotion"
I have doubts about the subtitle "The wiki dedicated to the promotion of nonbinary gender identities". Is this a sort of lifestyle we can "promote"? I don't think so. A gender identity is something people just have, it needs no promotion and cannot seriously be promoted. I think that this wiki should be "The wiki dedicated to the promotion of knowledge about nonbinary gender identities". Wolle (talk) 17:24, 28 April 2018 (UTC)
