"féministe" is epicene, which means it is already gender neutral! There is no female or male version for that word, it's "féministe" for everybody: "une féministe", "un féministe", "eune féministe", "des féministes". It belongs to the "epicene person descriptions", section 1.4 from this article.
Hello, my understanding is that De is feminine and Du is masculine. What could a gender neutral word be, perhaps Da?
Hello, Actually, "du" is a historically contracted form of "de le", so feminine is "de la", and masculine is "de le" > "du". So gender neutral would be "de lae" or "de lea". In words beginning with a vowel, however, it is always "de l'...", the gender of the word doesn't influence the article here.
