DeAnne Smith is an award-winning Canadian-American comedian, writer and columnist.

In 2017 at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Smith said, "I feel agender. If you don't know what that means, that means that I don't really pick one of the major two. I don't feel like a woman, ugh, I don't wanna be a man, gross. I mean, no offense, everyone, but [...] the categories are so limited, they feel so constraining."[3]

In addition to agender, Smith also uses the labels lesbian and queer.[4][5][6]
