He is also the creator, showrunner, and executive producer of the animated television series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.
In September 2019, he got married to fellow comics creator Molly Knox Ostertag.[3]
Nate came out as "nonbinary, or something like it" via Twitter on International Nonbinary Day of 2020, and in late June of 2022 announced that he was using he/him pronouns.[4][1] As of February 2023, ND is out as bigender.[2]
