Sara Elena Ramirez is a Mexican-American actor, singer, and songwriter. They are best known for their role as Dr. Callie Torres on the show Grey's Anatomy. They came out as bisexual in 2016 and came out as nonbinary in 2020.[1]
Born in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico, Ramirez graduated with a fine arts degree from the Juilliard School. They began acting in Broadway productions, making their debut with Paul Simon's "The Capeman", and later ventured into film and television roles.
