The Nonbinary & Intersex Recognition Project (NIRP), formerly the Intersex & Genderqueer Recognition Project (IGRP), is a nonprofit organization that fights for the rights of nonbinary and intersex people, such as advocating for "X" gender markers and ending nonconsensual surgery. For example, in 2017, the organization worked with California Senator Atkins to successfully pass SB 179, the Gender Recognition Act.

Addison Rose Vincent (they/them), a transfeminine nonbinary person, is NIRP's Executive Director.[1]
