Feminism, in its purest form, is the belief that all genders are fundamentally equal and deserve at least equal respect, equal opportunities, and equal rights, and that no gender is "better" than another.

Transgender-exclusionary feminism

It is also a form of biological essentialism, the assumption that gender and sex are the same thing. This therefore says that all nonbinary identities other than intergender are invalid because they have no physical, chromosomal proof. This may be caused by materialism.
