Woman, also girl and lady, is the gender identity of feeling as if one is a woman. Woman is one of two recognized binary genders, along with man. Women almost always use she/her/hers pronouns. Being a woman does not imply being cisgender—trans women identify as women but are not cisgender. Other identities, like demigirl, may choose to identify as women.

Some nonbinary people use the she/her/hers pronoun set but feel being called a woman is a form of misgendering. Thus, it is inaccurate to say all those who use she/her/hers are women.
