| {{ping|Sekhet}} I've imported {{tl|cite book}}, {{tl|cite journal}}, and {{tl|cite web}} (plus a bunch of other useless templates in the process whoops). | : {{ping|Ondo}} Thanks! For future reference, can you point me to something that explains how to import templates? -[[User:Sekhet|Sekhet]] ([[User talk:Sekhet|talk]]) 16:56, 16 November 2019 (UTC) | | : {{ping|Ondo}} Thanks! | :: It really depends on the kind of template. If it uses a Lua module, you also have to import it. But basically, importing is the fancy way of copy-pasting. Copy-pasting works just fine, but with [[Special:Import]] you also import the full history plus any other sub-templates. Right now, you can only import pages from [[meta:|meta wiki]] (Miraheze, not Wikimedia) and [[templatewiki:|template wiki]], which is basically a collection of useful templates. So the process would be looking up the template on template wiki and using the special page to import it. If the template is not in template wiki, then just copy-paste from Wikipedia and it should work.

| :: Also, in case you are not familiar with modules, Wikipedia templates generally say if they use a module or not with a template. But in any case, if the <nowiki>{{#invoke:[module name]}}</nowiki> tag is included in the template code, then it means that it's using a module, so just copy/import it under ''Module:[module name]''. Hope this helps! (and I'll take a look at the infobox soon) --[[User:Ondo|Ondo]] ([[User talk:Ondo|talk]]) 17:07, 16 November 2019 (UTC)
