Feminine of center is a queer feminine identity or gender expression. The Safe Zone Project says that feminine of center individuals are "people who present, understand themselves, and/or relate to others in a generally more feminine way, but don't necessarily identify as women". Not all people who are feminine of center will present in a feminine way.
History[edit | edit source]
The term "feminine of center" may have derived from "femme of center", a self-descriptor sometimes found in lesbian personals ads in the mid-1990s.
