The campaign for organisations to cease demanding, storing and using marital status titles for their customers and people.

The website www.gotitlefree.org and twitter account @title_free were set up in September 2018 to challenge organisations to stop using 'Miss', 'Mrs', 'Mr', 'Ms and 'Mx' in their forms, and communications. The campaign states that titles are not a legal part of an individual's identity, and therefore there is no justification for asking for them, or using them.
