Olave Basabose is a Black nonbinary trans femme born in Burundi and living in the Netherlands. She is a published author, organiser, performer and speaker locally and internationally. She is also the initiator of Olave Talks, a video series (aka vodcast) platform that creates space for fellow activists to share their knowledge, test ideas, and discuss issues relating to the communities they serve. She ran for Dutch legislature with the "Article 1" party in 2017.
