În anii următori au apărut multe steaguri alternative după ce au apărut acuzații că no-bucks-for-this-doe (numit și Sunny) era transfob și agresiv.^[1]^[2]^[3] În aprilie 2022 un utilizator pe Tumblr ce spunea că era Sunny a spus că toate acuzațiile erau „mai mult sau mai puțin adevărate” și că „nu îmi place ideea ca steagul meu să fie folosit pentru că îmi amintește de cine eram atunci. Dar nu ține de mine. Steagurile aparțin întregii comunități, nu numai creatorului. În orice caz, îmi place că este înlocuit”.^[4]
