Genderliminal is a gender identity coined on August 16th, 2018 by tumblr user genderless-gibberish. It's a gender on the edge of existing and not existing (between gender and agender), or one that dances between the two.[1]
The original flag proposed on August 17th, 2018 was a horizontal mirror image of the current flag, and was created by tumblr user nooonbinaryyyy.[2] Tumblr user genderless-gibberish edited the flag later that day to its current version[3] and the flag became official.[4]
