::That's true, that still doesn't meet the new policy. It looks like that post was submitted by the personal blog "BoiQirl," a blog which has since been deleted, and is not available on Archive.org, so we don't know if that was a sideblog run by the term's coiner or somebody else. The personal blog of the person who originally coined it, Vmerli, has also been deleted. Since both blogs are gone, that gives us fewer leads in finding good enough evidence of use of this term. If only it had been submitted to a Gender Census. I haven't checked for it in every year's census yet, just in 2016 and 2019. --[[User:Sekhet|Sekhet]] ([[User talk:Sekhet|talk]])

    • Why do we need to bring race into gender identity?

@Otvm: this is one of the "grey areas" of acceptance... if the article exists (and it has a link to an external page), it means that somebody uses it. Maybe it doesn't "deserve" its own article, what about putting its content inside a sub-section of demigirl? --NeoMahler (talk) 17:30, 6 November 2017 (UTC)
I would be careful about policing cultural specific identities without input from people who are closely associated with this identity. I don't see harm in keeping the article, and I can see the potential for harm in removing or merging it into a article for a non-cultural specific (ie: western) gender. Can we have a pronunciation guide for this word?

I assume it's pronounced like girl but with a k sound instead of the g("Kirl"). Cheers. --NeoMahler (talk) 19:04, 26 June 2018 (UTC)
That is speculation. We do not have any sources that say how people who identify as qirls pronounce the word. --Sekhet (talk)

That's true, that still doesn't meet the new policy. --Sekhet (talk)
