M

• MTF male-to-female, trans woman
• MTFビアン (MTF bian) MTF / trans woman who is a lesbian
• MTFレズビアン (MTF rezubian) MTF / trans woman who is a lesbian
• MTX male-to-x gender / unknown gender / gender other than man
• 胸を潰す道具 (mune o tsubusu dougu) to flatten / bind the chest with an implement (such as a binder)
• 無性 (musei) asexual; agender

N

• ナベホモ (nabehomo) gay FTM; gay trans man
• ナベシャツ (nabeshatsu) chest binder
• ネカマ (nekama) someone who portrays themselves as another gender or sex online (usually used to imply deception rather than identity)
• ノンジェンダー (non jendaa) no gender identity
• ニューハーフ (nyuuhaafu) new half; transsexual

O

• オナベ；おなべ (onabe) FTM; trans man; FAAB individual experiencing gender dysphoria. Sometimes used to mean butch or dyke. May be considered offensive.
• オナベのホモ (onabe no homo) gay FTM; gay trans man
• オネエ (onee) A feminine man or a trans woman.
• 女っぽい (onnappoi) womanly; feminine; effeminate
• 女らしい (onnarashii) womanly; ladylike; feminine
• 男でも女でもない (otoko demo onna demo nai) neither man nor woman
• 男物 (otokomono) for men
• 男役 (otoko yaku) role of a man (as in a play or performance)
• 女物をきる (onnamono o kiru) women’s wear
• 男物を着る (otokomono o kiru) men's wear
• 男の娘 (otoko no ko) appears to be both used to refer to boys and men crossdressing as well as transwoman identity
• 男っぽい (otokoppoi) manly; boyish
• 男っぽい女 (otokoppoi onna) butch woman; masculine / male-identified FAAB
• 男らしい (otokorashii) manly
• オトメン；乙男 (otomen) man with feminine characteristics or hobbies

P

• パートナー (paatonaa) partner (can be used for neutral term for significant other)
• パッキング (pakkingu) packing
• パッキングポーチ (pakkingu poochi) packing pouch
• パス (pasu) pass, passing
• パスグッズ (pasu guzzu) “passing goods” - items to help with transgender passing
• ぺにぐるみ；ペニぐるみ (peni gurumi) penis packer

• 流動的 (ryuudouteki) fluid (can be used to describe gender)

• 性別変更 (seibetsu henkou) sex change

• X-gender (Xジェンダー x-jendā, or エックスジェンダー ekkusu-jendā) is an identity label in Japan, analogous to the terms non-binary and genderqueer in English.
