reclaimed slursThis list of uncommon nonbinary identities contains gender identities that have been coined by various people but are not widely-used. This does not mean that the identity is not valid, but that not many people have decided to use it (More information...). reclaimed slursThis list of uncommon nonbinary identities contains gender identities that have less record of their use, according to community census results and historical information, or sometimes no record at all, beyond their coinage and inclusion in glossaries. This does not mean that the identity is not valid, but that not many people have decided to use it (More information...). See also the list of nonbinary identities for more common ones.

In order to keep the wiki accurate to the lived experiences of nonbinary people, identities should only be listed here if they cite from at least two separate external sources, showing both:

1. origin (such as a source about how the term was coined, or at least history of the term's use), and

2. evidence that the identity has actually been used as someone's own identity. Acceptable evidence includes presence in at least one Gender Census result, a news article, or published nonfiction book describing an actual person using it.

A design for a pride flag does not count toward origin or evidence of use. A personal blog does not count toward evidence of use. A source citation of a web page counts if it is either a live link, or an archive of a dead link, but dead links by themselves are not acceptable.

Instead of male-aligned and female-aligned, it uses concepts that are not related to the binarist system, such as the sun, the moon and the stars. It's worth noting that these words were not coined to describe genders, but a relation towards a binary gender - an alignment. For instance, an agender person may identify as lunarian because they have experiences in common with women, despite not being a woman themself.

* Keywords: feminine, femme, nonbinary femme

* Demographics: In the 2019 Worldwide Gender Census, 18 respondents (0.16%) called themselves lunarian. Together, this makes a total of 25 respondents (0.22%) who called their identity lunarian or partly lunarian.

*Quantigender. Coined by VibraLively 2019. A gender that is an earthly transmutation originating in a conscious awareness of dimensions of reality typically separate from any of the  typical perception of everyday life. Examples of skills essential to have experiences beyond what can be described as typical, include expertise in hard sciences, mystical practice, or any other skill one has developed sufficiently to be able to experience a fully focused state of immersion and flow, from acrobatics to knitting. It is through the mental state of clarity, equanimity, and unwavering focus that one can begin to release one's grasp of one's gross body, and begin to identify more with one's subtle energetic body, before, in turn, letting go of the subtle body before ultimately coming to identify with the multiverse, Godhead, or Cosmic Consciousness as whole. It is in these super-dimensional travels and in subsequent dimensions, that the origins of earthly quantigenders can be mapped. In a sentence:

**"We were practicing our yoga and breathwork rituals when suddenly we came upon another alter ego in our polygender multiplicity It happened like this: As our subtle body gave our gross body permission to sleep, exactly one complete possible timeline of reality  appeared before as we could behold all one possible reality simultaneously, extending into the past back to the big bang and toward the future all the way to the ultimate heat death of the universe.  Simultaneously, it was as if we were watching it's quantity diminish into a singular actuality as the present moment continuously unfolded before our perceptions. Then, multiple timelines appeared before us, and more timelines after that. Then, we appeared before us, watching timelines appear and multiple. We were watching timelines multiply while watching our multiplying selves watch timelines multiply. Toward the conclusion of this rapid inter-dimensional succession, we became so expansive we began to asymptotically approach a thing that some might call God, or Consciousness, or just the *is*-ness. We saw her, took a quick mental image of just one of her infinite sides, and used it in a later ritual to transmute her aspect into a new quantigender alter ego in of our system."

{{quote|Lately I’ve experiencing a new gender that isn’t male or female! I don’t believe it is agender, since it certainly is a gender! It’s like, very neutral on the “spectrum” of gender, but I don’t feel like it’s androgyny either.
The reason I call it star gender is uh, because when I was mulling on it one day I somehow started thinking about alien/nonhuman genders and how it was really unknown to people currently, and I ended up reasoning maybe it was the same genders stars could experience? (sorry that sounds super silly uh)

I don’t believe it’s androgyny because it??? doesn’t really feel like a middle between masculine and feminine?? like it seems??? Beyond That? This article mentions reclaimed slurs. If you are not comfortable with reading about this kind of topic, we suggest you take a step back.

This list of uncommon nonbinary identities contains gender identities that have less record of their use, according to community census results and historical information, or sometimes no record at all, beyond their coinage and inclusion in glossaries.

Some transgender people think of themselves as eunuchs. Many eunuchs have considered themselves to be men. However, many other eunuchs have thought of their status as a eunuch as a gender identity outside of the binary. [...] Someone who is gendervague cannot separate their gender identity from their neurodivergence – being autistic doesn’t cause my gender identity, but it is inextricably related to how I understand and experience gender."[84] An author who is gendervague, Max Sparrow, wrote that "[...] disability can affect gender presentation as much as or even more than inherent gender identity. Identity labels so often focus on sifting out one aspect of identity, holding it apart and separate from other aspects of our lives. Gendervague is an inherently intersected identity, honoring two different facets of identity equally, simultaneously more exclusive and more inclusive."[85]

• Meaning: The lunarian identity expresses a similarity with feminine genders, alignments, or experiences. It's a replacement for "feminine-aligned", "fem-aligned," or "female-aligned." [102] Lunarian is an identity from the galactian system, which is an alternative classification system for nonbinary people based on the alignment in relation to the binary genders. Instead of male-aligned and female-aligned, it uses concepts that are not related to the binarist system, such as the sun, the moon and the stars. It's worth noting that these words were not coined to describe genders, but a relation towards a binary gender - an alignment. For instance, an agender person may identify as lunarian because they have experiences in common with women, despite not being a woman themself.[103]

Sekhet

Writings from ancient Egypt (Middle Kingdom, 2000-1800 BCE) said there were three genders of humans: male (tie), sekhet (sht), and female (hemet), in that order. Sekhet is usually translated as "eunuch," but that's probably an oversimplification of what this gender category means. Since it was given that level of importance, it could potentially be an entire category of gender/sex variance that doesn't fit into male or female. The hieroglyphs for sekhet include a sitting figure that usually mean a man, but the word doesn't include hieroglyphs that refer to genitals in any way. The word for male did include a hieroglyph explicitly showing a penis. At the very least, sekhet is likely to mean cisgender gay men, in the sense of not having children, and not necessarily someone who was castrated. Archaeologists question whether ancient Egyptians castrated humans, because the evidence for it is lacking.[137][138][139][140] Why this is poorly attested: We need demographic information showing that any people identify as this today.

Stargender

• Name(s): stargender
• Origin: Coined in January 2014 by a person named Mars (Tumblr user nbqt). Se described stargender as follows:
« Lately I’ve experiencing a new gender that isn’t male or female!

Like it is potentially neutral but encompassing both masculine and feminine at the same time, if that makes any sense?[141]
